Add milk for getting rid of burnt taste and odor while cooking:  
This is actually my best friend, Amara’s tip that she gave me over the phone to rescue me from a cooking disaster! Bless her it actually worked! Slowly pour in milk, mixing it gently and cook on low heat/flame till the milk absorbs the foul burnt taste and smell. Recommended for gravies and curries, milk actually makes your dish smoother and richer not to mention saving it from the bin!
